Stream Watch the Throne

Perhaps one of the most anticipated hip-hop albums in recent memory, Hova and Kanye released Watch the Throne last nite at midnite via ITunes. Singles and snippets have been floating around the internet for awhile, however. Featuring some of the best production in a while from Frank Ocean (OFWKTA), Just Blaze, and Kanye himself, the beats seem to overshadow the lyrics for me (Kanye get over your girl problems, man!).  What do ya'll think? Stream it here and let me know.

The above picture has been making the rounds in Richmond, VA after Dickie-V denounced the NCAA's pick of VCU for the NCAA tourney earlier this year. Has nothing to do with this weeks selections, but funny nonetheless. These week we've got new tracks from Trailer Trash Tracies, my favorite folkies: Blitzen Trapper, and a couple electro boogies to get you through the week.

Blitzen Trapper - Love The Way You Walk Away by subpop

Unfortunately, Bob Weir's Bijou performance has been postponed to a later date. There has been a statement released through his tour's website:
We regret to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, Bob must postpone his upcoming shows between August 2 & 7. All of the headline dates within this window will be rescheduled...
You can read here for more info regarding rescheduling and Bob's status. However, to satisfy your Dead craving, Preservation Pub is hosting Jerry Garcia's Birthday Bash. Fossil Eyes @ Pilot Light

With the flood of lo-fi garage rockers these days, it's sometimes hard to sort through the countless bands floating around the internet. However, it makes the good bands that much more worth it to find. This evening, at the Pilot Light, comes one of those bands. Originally known as Junkers, Fossil Eyes are pumping out some reverb-drenched garage rock that's as danceable as it is psychedelic and dirty. You can stream their album after the break or catch them tonite at the Pilot Light, cover's $5.

Committed @ Relix Variety

Tonite, vocal group, Committed, takes stage at Relix Variety Theatre here in Knoxville. Gaining national attention from winning NBC's reality show, 'The Sing Off,' the new found stars are touring the country and sharing their love of music through rearranged, accapella versions of modern and classic hits. Below are a couple video samples from Committed's appearance on NBC's 'The Sing Off.'
