Hailing from the City of Brotherly Love, Dr. Dog is a psychedelic rock outfit including members Toby Leaman (bass), Scott McMicken (lead guitar), Frank McElroy (rhythm guitar), Zach Miller (keyboard), and Eric Slick (drums). Forming around the beginning of the millennium, Dr. Dog got their start rocking around Philly and in 2004 opened up for My Morning Jacket. In 2009 the boys signed with Anti-Records and released their full-length album "Shame, Shame." They continue touring to support their most recent release. Opening up tonite will be The Head and the Heart. Recently signed to Sub-Pop records, the Seattle natives have quickly gained the notoriety that they deserve. Taking cues from the Beatles, CSN&Y, and adding their own folk twist The Head and the Heart create a collage of sounds old, new, pleasing, and inspiring.
