Amos Lee @ Tennessee Theatre

With four albums under his belt, Amos Lee has been making waves in the adult contemporary (for lack of a better term) world. With influences ranging from jazz to rock, country to blues, the Philadelphia native has crafted his own unique place in the musical world. Since the release of his eponymous debut album, Mr. Lee has toured with a who's who list of artists including Norah Jones (who's bassist, Lee Alexander, produced Amos' debut), Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews, and English singing sensation Adele. Amos always had an affinity for music, but after working as a school teacher, he decided to pursue it as a career. Amos was signed to Blue Note records after he was noticed by future label mate, Norah Jones. Earlier this year, the Philly native released his fourth album entitled, Mission Bell. The album includes appearances by Willie Nelson, members of Calexico, and Lucinda Williams (who will be at the Bijou Wednesday). Opening up for Amos tonite will be Los Angeles alt-rockers The Wastson Twins. Read more for what to expect...
