All Doggs go to Heaven

The Ides of March has come and gone taking along with it a G-funk legend. Yesterday, Nathaniel D. Hale, better known as Nate Dogg, passed away. The artist had been struggling with illnesses over the past 3 years and has had a history of strokes. Nate Dogg may not be a roman empereror, but has arguably one of the most recognizable voices in hip-hop and R&B.  Nate got his start with his cousin and high school pal, Snoop Dogg, in the rap group 213. Later after hearing Nate's soulful voice on a demo, Dr. Dre took notice and Hale later signed with Death Row Records. Along with Warren G., Nate's first hit came in '94 with the song "Regulators." Nate Dogg has also worked along side a who's who list of hip-hop artists including Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Eminem, and Tupac. Below are a couple videos of Nate at his finest.

Ain't no place I'd rather be, Chillin' with homies and family, Sky high, iced out paradise, In the skyyyyyyyyyy...       -Tupac (Thug Mansion)
